This course provides an overview of the ethics and values in Islam. It examines the moral principles and values found in the Qur’an and Sunnah, as well as their application in various contemporary situations. The course will also explore how these teachings have been interpreted by different Muslim scholars throughout history and into modern times. Through lectures and discussions, students will gain a deeper understanding of Islamic Ethics and Values, which can be used to make decisions within their personal or professional lives.

This course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the various equalities in Islam. We will explore the various Islamic perspectives on gender, race, and other disparities within society. In addition, we will examine the different ways in which these equalities can be applied to create a more equitable society. Through discussions and readings, we will discover how Islamic teachings can help us understand more about inequality issues and how they can be addressed in our own lives.

One basic element in the value system of Islam is the principle of equality or equity. This value of equality is not to be mistaken for or confused with identicalness or stereotype. Islam teaches that in the sight of Allah Almighty, all people are equal, but they are not necessarily identical. There are differences of abilities, potentials, ambitions, wealth and so on.
