This course is designed to provide an overview of the field of Human Resources in Education, including the various positions and roles within this field. The course will focus on four main areas: hiring, employee training, performance management, and compensation. The course will include a practicum component where students will get hands-on experience with the materials covered in class.
This is an upper level course that prepares you to work in the field of K-12 Educational Administration. In this course students will study the human resources function to help one become a more effective manager-by building skills and understanding a number of critical human resource related issues. This is a 6 credit hour course and is allotted 6 weeks of time.
