This course is part of the Ethereal Bachelor Degree program in Grief Counseling of the School of Grief Education at AITU. Its aim is to gain a working understanding of fundamental theories of counseling and its practice. Together the courses provide you with a theoretical understanding of various approaches to different kinds of counseling.
* Become familiar with some of the major approaches to counseling
* Gain a working knowledge of several important counseling techniques
* Understand the basic theoretical background of different approaches to counseling
* Apply the theoretical understanding of the material to case vignettes
* Be able to discern which approaches/techniques are best suited to different clients and situations
