This course is part of the Accelerated Doctoral in Grief Counseling program at AITU.Its aim is to gain a working understanding of fundamental theories of psychotherapy and its practice. GRFD 1101 is the first part with GRFD 1102 completing the topic. Together the courses provide you with a theoretical understanding of various approaches to therapy and a practical skill set necessary for the effective practice of grief therapy. You will also find consistent opportunities to apply the material to grief therapy specifically. It is a 6-hour semester course that should be completed within 6 weeks. This is the same course offered as part of the Accelerated Master program in Grief Counseling GRFM 525.
