I am honored to be a member of AITU. Although my background in general- and psychiatric nursing, later combined with a Bachelor degree in Human Resources & Labor-market Policies, isn’t what you might expect of an educator at this university, but it has brought me wide experience in management of health- and service-related organizations. After living and working in several countries, personal physical circumstances forced me to review where my future was heading to. It resulted in a Master and Doctorate degree in the study of dying, death, and grieving (Thanatology). Nine years in Mexico gave me the opportunity to counsel and educate members of the American ex-patriot community on dying, death, and grieving. The incredible journey of my pursuit of knowledge hasn’t ended yet. Now I am entering a phase where it is time to give back to others the wealth of knowledge and experience that I have gained. To be able to do that as the lead lecturer of this faculty, and your individual professor, at the AITU School of Grief gives me great pleasure. I look forward to work with my new colleagues but mostly to work, guide, support, and encourage the students who choose bereavement for their education.
I hope to make you proud about your results and the path you have chosen!
