What Will Learn?
This course will explore the ways in which globalization has impacted the education system. We’ll start by looking at how globalization has influenced the way students are taught, and then we’ll look at how it’s changed the kinds of jobs that are available to people with an education. Finally, we’ll talk about what this means for the future of education—what we can expect as new technologies become more prevalent, and how they might change our educational systems.
This course that provides an opportunity to examine some of the important international issues that affect education. These issues have implications for educational policies, the content of the curriculum, and how teachers practice their craft. The course will provide opportunities to examine and analyze important aspects of your own educational system regardless of where you operate and regardless of the prevailing cultural, ideological and material backgrounds. This is a 6 credit hour course and is allotted 6 weeks of time.
