This course explores the intersection of culture and grief, and how cultural factors impact the experience of grief, mourning, and bereavement. Students will learn about different cultural beliefs, practices, and rituals related to death and dying, as well as cultural variations in grief expression and coping. The course will also address the role of the grief counselor in providing culturally responsive and competent care to clients from diverse backgrounds.
