Death & Dying I
Death and dying can have an emotional impact on all of us. Some people fear their own mortality, while others are forced to cope with the death of their friends or family members. There is nothing that can prepare anyone for the emotional pain of losing a loved one. The only way a person can cope with their grief is through therapy and counseling.
Death & Dying I is a required course of the Accelerated Ethereal Master of Grief Counseling Degree program at American International Theism University. It aims to teach students about the fundamental theories of psychotherapy and its practice. Students will develop a theoretical understanding of various approaches to psychotherapy and a practical skillset necessary for becoming an effective grief therapist.
If you ever need to counsel somebody who lost a close friend or family member, you will know how to do so with the knowledge you obtain from this course. Grief therapists can find employment at schools, government agencies, law enforcement agencies, or they can open a private practice. The starting salary for a grief therapist is usually in the high five figures, but you can progressively earn six figures per year as time goes on.
When you complete the Death & Dying I course, it will earn you approximately four credits toward your Master’s Degree in Grief Counseling at American International Theism University. It will take up to six weeks for you to complete the course. There are no in-person classroom sessions, so all of the class time will be spent online.
If you have questions, we have skilled professors available to assist you. They’re all highly knowledgeable in the field of grief counseling, especially as it relates to death and dying. You can send them an email with your questions or concerns, and they will answer them as soon as possible.
Death & Dying I is a prerequisite of the Death & Dying II course required for the Doctorate in Grief Counseling Degree program.
