Ethical Issues in Counseling
When people go to seek counseling, it can be a tough thing for them to do. The idea of sitting down with a stranger and confessing their thoughts and feelings can feel scary. A counselor has the responsibility to respect their patients without crossing any moral or ethical boundaries. That way, the patients will trust them and any advice or treatment provided.

The course dives into all the major ethical issues associated with counseling and how to handle those issues in various situations during a counseling session. The major ethical issues discussed include the following:
- Self-awareness
- Multicultural sensitivity
- Legal issues
- Confidentiality
- Boundaries
- Multiple Relationships
- Consultation and Supervision Issues
- Couples Issues
- Family Issues
- Community Issues
- Other Group Issues
