What Will Learn?
This course is designed to give you a comprehensive overview of the human resources field, including how it has evolved over time, and how it is currently practiced in many organizations. You will learn about the different types of job positions that are available in the field and how they can be applied to real-world situations. You will also learn about how HR professionals go about their everyday tasks, including how they handle employee relations issues, hiring practices, training programs, performance evaluations and more. Finally, you’ll get an introduction to some of the legal aspects of HR management so that you can understand what’s required by law when conducting business activities related to HR tasks.
This advanced course is designed for HR professionals who wish to make an effective contribution at a strategic level in today’s rapidly changing organizations, internally or as external consultants. Students will integrate the knowledge gained through previous coursework and experience and build on that conceptual foundation. Emerging issues in human resource management will be discussed. Advanced HR management skills such as consultation skills, coaching, change management, and facilitation skills will be explored and practiced. Students will learn how to safeguard their organization’s bottom-line by acquiring the high-level skills needed to excel as an HR leader. This is a 4-credit-hour course and is allotted 6 weeks of time.
Human Resource Management Issues
Most companies that have more than 50 employees will have a human resources department. The purpose of human resources is to manage the company’s employment objectives, such as the hiring and training of employees. Human resource management ensures that employees work to their fullest potential, and all of their essential needs and complaints are addressed.
Human Resource Management Issues is a required course of the Doctorate in Business Administration program at American International Theism University. When students worked toward their MBA degrees, they took a standard human resource management course. Now they need to take this advanced course in human resource management to accelerate their knowledge of human resources.
Students will get to integrate the knowledge they gained from their previous coursework and build on this course further. The most recent issues in human resource management will be discussed amongst the class. But if you have a DBA degree with this advanced course in human resource management on your resume, then it will show employers that you can make a significant contribution to their organization. Graduates of our DBA program will know how to strategize and develop suitable solutions for employee management in today’s rapidly changing organizations.
You’ll find opportunities to work as an internal consultant or external consultant for an organization. Some DBA graduates will even start their own businesses as external consultants and work for multiple organizations. This is a 4-credit-hour online course, and students are allotted six weeks to complete it.
